YMCA Camp Erdman Starts Pilot Aquaponics Program

ShareWe had so much fun working with YMCA Camp Erdman staff and campers to build a small aquaponics system. It’s exciting to see such a large organization, that reaches so many youth in Hawaii, getting an aquaponics program started!

Keoneula Elementary System Build

ShareHapa Farms helped with a build of two aquaponic systems at Keoneula Elementary. The project was funded by Hawaiian Electric. Several teachers and administrators as well as assorted staff members participated in the build. This aquaponic system is part of a larger school garden featuring in ground native Hawaiian plants.

Residential System in Kahala

Manana Elementary School System Build

Share Four patioponic systems were built at Palisades Elementary for use with their fourth grade curriculum. Faculty and staff were involved in the build and received training in system maintenance, planting, and basic food safety.
